Righteous Flame Acolyte

Paladins who completely devote themselves to the ideal of righteousness learn to wield divine fire and incorporate it into combat, rather than forming a bond with a weapon or mount. These paladins learn to incorporate their divine flame into their martial disciplines, fighting with blade in one hand and holy fire in the other.

The righteous flame acolyte is an archetype of the paladin class.

Righteous Flame Strike

At 2nd level the righteous flame acolyte can make a melee touch attack as a standard action that deals a number of d6 in damage equal to half the righteous flame acolyte’s class level. Half of this damage is fire damage, with the other half being holy damage capable of bypassing resistances and immunities. This ability may be used a number of times per day equal to half the righteous flame acolyte’s class level plus his Charisma modifier. As a swift action, the righteous flame acolyte may expend two uses of this ability to grant attacks a made with a melee weapon of his choice additional damage equal to his righteous flame strike damage.

This ability replaces the lay on hands and mercy abilities.

Righteous Assault (Ex)

At 5th level, while wielding a one handed weapon and not holding anything in his off hand, the righteous flame acolyte may make iterative attacks with his weapon in addition to using his Righteous Flame Strike class feature as an off hand attack. Using Righteous Flame Strike in this manner causes all attacks made by the righteous flame acolyte take a -2 penalty.

This ability replaces divine bond.

Aura of Flames (Su)

At 8th level the Righteous Flame acolyte begins to emit an aura of holy fire. The righteous flame acolyte gains resist cold 10, this resistance increases to resist 20 at 14th level, and gains immunity to cold at 20th level. Allies within 20ft of the righteous flame acolyte gain resist cold 5. This resistance increases to 10 at 14th and to 20 at 20th level.

This ability replaces aura of resolve.
