Svinfylking

To the svinfylking, the wild boar is a sacred animal. The god Freyr owned the boar Gullinbursti and the goddess Freyja owned Hildisvíni (“battle swine”). They have been described as the masters of disguise, and of escape with an intimate knowledge of the landscape.

Armor Proficiency

A svinfylking does not gain proficiency in medium armor or shields.

Master of Disguise (Sp)

At 1st level a svinfylking can cast disguise self as a spell-like ability once per day. She may cast it an additional time per day at 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th, and 18th levels.

This ability replaces trap sense.

Channel the Boar (Su)

At 2nd level, a svinfylking may adopt an aspect of the boar while retaining her normal form. She gains one of the following:

While using this ability, she may speak normally and can cast speak with animals (boars and related animals only) at will. Using this ability is a standard action at 2nd level, a move action at 7th level, and a swift action at 12th level. She can use this ability for a number of minutes per day equal to her barbarian level. These minutes do not need to be consecutive, but they must be used in 1-minute increments.

This ability replaces the barbarian’s 2nd level rage power.

Fast Healing (Su)

At 3rd level, a svinfylking gains fast healing 1. The svinfylking may only recover a number of hit points equal to his svinfylking level in one day.

When using channel the boar or while wild shaped in the form of a boar, this increases to fast healing 2 (maximum recoverable of 2 x svinfylking level) or fast healing 3 (maximum recoverable of 3 x svinfylking level) at 14th level, fast healing 4 (maximum recoverable of 4 x svinfylking level) at 17th level, and fast healing 5 (maximum recoverable of 5 x svinfylking level) at 20th level.

This ability replaces uncanny dodge.

Favored Terrain (Ex)

At 5th level and again at 10th level, a svinfylking may choose a favored terrain.

This ability is identical to, and stacks with, the ranger class ability and replaces improved uncanny dodge.

Boar Shape (Su)

At 6th level, a svinfylking gains the wild shape ability as a druid of the same level, but may only take on the form of a boar.

This ability replaces the barbarian’s 6th level rage power.
